The E-Wing is a lightweight (7 oz.), compact (about the size of a soda can) emergency shelter. This versatile tarp can be used as a poncho or as a minimalist tent for those who like to travel ultra light. When used as a shelter, the E-Wing can be set up in a lean-to or pup tent configuration and can be used with trekking poles, sticks or guy lines.



The E-Wing comes factory compressed in a stuff sack roughly the size of a 12-ounce beverage can-small enough to carry with you at all times. Made of silicone coated, ripstop nylon, the E-Wing is highly water repellent and provides 44 sq. ft. of protection. A corner pocket doubles as a hood when used as a poncho.

Day hikers, hunters, photographers and other trekkers will find the E-Wing to be a particularly convenient way to make sure that a shelter is always available. The E-Wing has 8 reinforced guy outs and measures 100” L x 80” W at the longest axis. Includes MSR’s lifetime warranty.
