A smaller version of the popular and respected BlastMatch, the Sparkie allows reliable one-handed operation in a smaller, lighter package. The Sparkie is one-third the weight and half the size of the BlastMatch-weighing in at under one ounce. The orange rubberized handle provides a comfortable and secure grip in wet weather. The Sparkie has a provision for a lanyard.
Operation is simple, just release the ferrocerium bar from the handle, press down on the striker and slide the handle down and against the rod using a firm surface as a base. Or, alternately, you can use a finger to bring the rod into the handle while depressing the striker.

As an ultra light, ultra reliable, one-handed, all-weather fire starter, the Sparkie is the perfect solution to make sure that you always have the ability to build a fire. Made in the USA.
