LifeView Outdoors was curious about the story behind Do-All Outdoors. In 1997, Shane LeAnna started Do-All Outdoors to provide targeting gear and hunting accessories for the hunter and shooter. Their products are now found at Wal-Mart, Optics Planet, Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shops, Gander Mountain, Dick's Sporting Goods, and other retail operations. The Nashville-based company has seen a growth in Tennessee as the hot spot for outdoor enthusiasts. “There are indoor shooting ranges popping up everywhere that are tailor made for our business,” the Do All Outdoors team points out.

Why did you start Do-All Outdoors?

The major problem as we saw it was that every trap and clay target thrower used for Sporting Clays was a very specific type of trap to throw each different sized clay pigeon. Sporting Clays is like golf with a shotgun and at every new station you are shooting a completely different presentation that most likely represents a typical upland bird or waterfowl type shot.

It's a fantastic game that helped grow shooting sports because of the hunting feeling brought to the game. Do-All Outdoors designed and patented the first manual trap that could throw all five different types of clay pigeons. We brought the game of Sporting Clays to the retail forefront and changed the landscape forever. This one idea and product grew into a full line of over fifteen models of clay target throwers and accessories.

How has Do-All Outdoors grown over the years?

Do-All Outdoors has led the industry in shooting sports innovation ever since our first retail trap launched in 1997. We have expanded into pellet targets, rimfire, handgun and even high caliber targets; and we brought new interactive ideas to the table once again making shooting more fun and more accessible to the end user.

If you walked into a major sporting goods retailer twenty years ago, you would maybe find a 4x4 foot section for the whole shooting sports category. Today, you will find a whole aisle of products to choose from; to excite and fulfill every shooter's needs.

Does your company focus on function or style?

Do-All Outdoors lives the outdoor lifestyle and we do not rest when it comes to design and function innovation. We have created a full line of exceptional hearing protection under the brand Sound Soldier and we love to hunt, so we have dedicated ourselves to the new Dead Deer line of hunting accessories for in the field use, which carry an unparalleled quality and uniqueness.
