The Katadyn MyBottle Microfilter meets EPA guidelines for removal of bacteria and protozoan cysts (like Giardia). The easy-to-use MyBottle Microfilter is ideal for hiking, camping, paddling or for emergency kits. It requires no batteries, no pumping and provides treated water instantly.
The MyBottle Microfilter features a cushioned, flip-up mouthpiece, an attachment loop and a straw that allows you to use the bottle without the filter cartridge when safe water is available. Also an integrated counter lets you know when to replace the cartridge.
The microfilter cartridge has a capacity of up to 26 gallons depending on water quality and includes activated carbon to reduce chemicals and improve the taste and smell of treated water. The microfilter cartridge meets EPA requirements for removal of cysts like Giardia and Cryptosporidium (99.9%) and waterborne bacteria (99.99%). Unlike the MyBottle Purifier, this filter is not effective against viruses.
